Course Introduction

We are excited to partner with Odessa College as BAM BIZHUB (B²Hub) delivers a platform to foster innovation, creativity, adaptability, leadership skills, and critical thinking. The opportunity to develop valuable intrapreneurial skills by encouraging ownership, imagination, and motivation. This program empowers students to become self-employed and advance market opportunities while pursuing commercialization.  

Students will recognize these opportunities that spark ideas, formulate core values, and stimulate curiosity to confirm a strategic solution. The learning process advances knowledge and skills to motivate commercialization while building confidence to materialize an innovative approach to generate revenue streams. This course provides you with the critical tools, guidance, and experience required to develop your idea from “Thought to Launch!”

With our modular learning capabilities, we drive the transformation of an idea to confirm validation while managing and prioritizing essential objectives. The program strives to assist entrepreneurs when accelerating and optimizing their value proposition, determining effective strategies that formulate success, and advancing concept articulation for market penetration. Below are the topics to be presented in a hyper-class leveraging both in-class and virtual to improve student engagement, personalization, and easy access to instructors.​

Course Insights

The certificate includes eight essential topics to develop a startup, sustain an early stage, or empower a growth-driven business. The provided instruction/material advances lean startups while evaluating market problem/solution, product/market fit, and growth possibilities. Participants will apply critical thinking practices to focus on solving a problem, creating a product/service, describing the characteristics of their customers, and acknowledging the competition to confirm a competitive advantage. 

​The course offers a hybrid strategy to encourage like-minded collaboration with easy access to our online system, curriculum, materials, instructors, and discussion boards while delivering a rich learning environment that encapsulates critical insight and knowledge. The course navigates you through a learning sequence to advance and refine the hypothesis while empowering concept development. This selected program delivers live video presentations and in-office appointments to enhance high-quality interaction and guidance. The course added value enables flexibility, improved communication, and critical-thinking skills throughout development while boosting proficiency and self-confidence. The results combine many curriculum topics with exploring subject matters in greater depth between phases of development.

Spanning an illustrious career, Mr. Crain has made significant marks in sectors ranging from Nuclear Power and Mechanical Engineering to sophisticated realms of Bridge Design and Traffic Engineering. On the entrepreneurial front, his ventures echo elegance and innovation, overseeing an upscale construction enterprise, a distinguished bar and restaurant, and a cutting-edge manufacturing facility producing specialized equipment for cleanroom environments catered to the semiconductor and aerospace industries. Giants of the industry such as Intel, Motorola, and Boeing have sought and benefited from Michael's unparalleled expertise.

In academia, Mr. Crain had been recognized not only as an esteemed University Lecturer but also as a pillar of innovation and progress. As the Director of an Entrepreneurial Center, he passionately nurtured and fostered the entrepreneurial spirit. His leadership in strategic economic and professional development was instrumental in shaping university initiatives. He had served with dedication as the President of the BAMIZHUB Accelerator Program and charted visionary paths as an Executive Partner at BAM Consulting.

Angel Garcia, MBA

Growing up in West Texas, Angel Garcia was no stranger to the oil landscape. Influenced by his father's dedicated tenure as a Senior Production Foreman at Conoco, Angel embraced the industry's intricacies early on. By age 12, he took his first steps into the field by perforating a well.

Angel's hands-on field experiences complemented his entrepreneurial ventures. Not one to be confined by challenges, he efficiently managed four distinct businesses. Concurrently, he understood the value of formal education in refining his skills. This realization led him to earn a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2016, specializing in Entrepreneurship. His academic journey continued with an MBA from the University of Texas Permian Basin in 2018.

Aside from his personal and professional growth, Angel has contributed significantly to the West Texas business ecosystem. One such contribution was his pivotal role in coordinating the 2019 Midland Entrepreneur Challenge. This event paved the way for emerging startups, bringing recognition to innovative ventures like Tall City Brewing Co. and Tex-Land Collision Center.

 

Today, with a healthy blend of hands-on experience and academic insight, Angel supports businesses in various capacities. From business operations and planning to digital marketing strategies and brand development, he offers a holistic approach, ensuring businesses in the region continue to thrive.
