Professional Experience

Created the position of Convention Housing & Special Services Manager for all conventions at the Hotel, ranging from 14-4000 persons.  Responsibilities included facilitating the clients’ needs regarding arrangements for VIPS and staff. I advised clients and hotel personnel regarding contractual obligations—providing information and advice regarding any other needs the groups may have, including off-site programs and special events.  My primary goal was to accomplish a successful relationship with the convention client that would result in the booking of future conventions and overall client satisfaction.

I was instrumental in creating budgeting and forecast tools for this 2100 room property: developed forecasts, market mix analysis, budgets, and final convention reports for the Hotel Marketing Department.   My department size increased over the years to include two coordinators and an assistant under my direct supervision.

Credit/Collateral Administrator. Instituted a credit and collateral department for this $150MM three-branch bank.  Arranged a manual exception review system prior to conversion to a collateral tracking system, "LQAS."  Converted 2000+ loans to the system. Supervised two loan clerks. Reviewed all loans originating from ten loan officers for the purpose of controlled funding, and prepared all loan documentation, and reviewed those loan packages that were attorney prepared.

Assistant Manager of the SBA department.  Responsible for obtaining and processing all documentation on SBA loans.  Obtained the commitments for those SBA loans sold on the secondary market.

Promoted to assistant to the Senior Vice President in charge of commercial lending for Sunwest Bank.  Responsibilities included handling all participations, many of which were large and complex credits for the Bank with its affiliates and other large money center banks.  Prepared reports for the Board of Directors meetings; and overall responsibility for the day-to-day business of this office.

Credit Analyst and Assistant to the Senior Vice President in commercial lending.  Prepared financial statement analysis. Worked extensively with the F.D.I.C. in purchasing loans for this bank from several failed banks in the area.  This bank is now the site of Wells Fargo on Andrews Highway.
